The Public and Administrative Law Group has responded recently to two important Government consultations.   One is on the recent White Paper on planning which has excited much controversy in the shires and elsewhere.   The other is just as controversial, if not more so, and is the call for evidence on Judicial Review.   One aspect of the controversy is whether this is simply a prelude to attempts by the Government  to curb the courts’ role in their proper oversight of governmental actions.
