Experienced mediator Alex Troup recently travelled to Carlisle for his first mediation under the Court of Protection pilot scheme, and helped the parties reach a settlement in a statutory will dispute.

The scheme is designed for disputes that have resulted in proceedings being issues in the Court of Protection. The aim of mediation under the Scheme is to explore whether the parties can reach an agreement about what is in best interest for the subject matter of the COP proceedings.
