Rhodri’s practice is in personal injury. He specialises in clinical negligence and inquests. Before taking tenancy at St John’s, he practised as a medical doctor for 18 years gaining experience in a variety of specialities including A&E, ITU, HIV medicine, haematology, paediatrics and palliative care, and general practice.

His wealth of knowledge and clinical experience enables him to quickly grasp the relevant issues in all aspects of medical law. His legal practice has included cases in general practice, anaesthetics, cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, obstetrics, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, and dentistry.

Rhodri has a particular interest in complex causation and his book on the subject “A Practical Guide to Material Contribution in Clinical Negligence”was published in 2023.
