Richard acts exclusively in the sphere of financial remedies on divorce and for applicant’s seeking financial provision for children (Schedule 1 cases). He is regularly instructed in cases involving complicated company structures, trusts, inherited wealth, farms, nuptial agreements, intervenors, and complex pensions issues both onshore and offshore. He is regularly instructed in the South West, Wales, London and regularly appears against leading juniors and silks (without leader).

Richard’s recent and ongoing cases range primarily from those with assets in the low millions to c. £20 million. However, Richard is happy to accept instructions in any case and will always fight for his clients to achieve the best possible outcome.

Richard also sits as a private FDR judge, a process he is a great supporter of, and will do everything possible to encourage parties to reach an early settlement and avoid the financial and practical pain of proceedings continuing.
